Warning Signs the Cooling System Parts are Failing

There are numerous parts of the cooling system that need to be working together to keep your vehicle running. If the belts or hoses show any of these warning signs of failure, have someone take a closer look before you wind up with a car that is overheating.

The belts on the engine give clear indications when they are failing. Loud squealing means they are slipping, and cracks or splits in the rubber are indications they could break at any moment.

The hoses also give signs they could be close to breaking. The rubber will feel soft in spots and have bulges. The rubber will appear brittle and have cracks in certain areas if the hose might be experiencing issues.

Take your vehicle down to SHARPE and one of our service technicians will get a closer look at the cooling system and replace any belts or hoses that could be failing.
